Physical education is essential to a student鈥檚 overall education experience and builds a foundation for lifelong healthy living. The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA, 2004) requires schools to provide a 鈥渇ree appropriate public education鈥� in the 鈥渓east restrictive environment鈥� including 鈥渋nstruction in physical education.鈥�
